Vikasietum is a technology consulting company that implements product thinking, engineering mindset, and agile execution to help our clients adopt Digital, deliver business value at scale and build competitive benefit. The name “Vikasietum” is derived from the Sanskrit language that means “to bloom, to blossom” and that is our core belief. In keeping with our annual custom of going for team outings, we planned to see the sunset at River Pej close to U Rivergate, Karjat this year.
The Pej River is a branch of the Ulhas River, which rises in the Western Ghats and runs through Maharashtra. A portion of the flow in the Pej comes from the Tata Bivpuri power plant that uses water that would normally drain east to the Bay of Bengal. It is instead diverted to the west, through the turbines, and down the Pej towards the Arabian Sea. (source) This river has a rich biodiversity and supports various aquatic species as well as provides irrigation and drinking water to the nearby villages.
On April 12, 2023, our team at Vikasietum decided to take a break from our busy schedules and have some fun together at River Pej. It was one of the best team outings we have had, and I want to share our experience with you.
Team Vikasietum chose this destination because we wanted to enjoy nature, and bond as a team. It gave a beautiful scenic view, and lush greenery, and reconnected as a team. Our core team booked a resort close to this river that offered us comfortable accommodation, delicious food, and various facilities.
We also enjoyed some fun and engaging team-building activities that challenged us to communicate, collaborate, and problem-solving together. It helped us to know more about each other’s strengths, weaknesses, preferences, and personalities. I felt more connected, motivated, and aligned as a team after our outing at River Pej.
As the day drew to a close and the sun set behind the hills, the team took a few minutes to appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the sound of the water, sharing stories, laughing, and joking together. The scenic view of the river, lush greenery, and beautiful sunset created a memorable experience that the team will cherish forever. It was a perfect way to end our day.
Our trip to River Pej was full of fun, and it helped us to unwind, enjoy nature, and most importantly, bond as a team. We challenged ourselves with fun team-building activities and learned a lot about each other, making us more connected and aligned. The scenic view of the river, lush greenery, and peaceful atmosphere made it a memorable experience that we will cherish forever. We returned with renewed energy and motivation, ready to take on any challenges that come our way.
